COOKIES POLICY

Like all websites, we have added a detailed Cookies Policy for your viewing pleasure. If you would like clarity on any of our Policies. Email us - hello@herownstore.com

What is a Cookie?

A ‘Cookie’ is a small data file stored by your web browser on your computer or your handheld device. Some Cookies are essential for our website (www.herownstore.com) to work properly. Cookies are useful because they help us to provide you with relevant information and also allow us to recognise your computer (but not specifically who is using it) when you access our website and to improve the usability and performance of our website.

Cookies can come from either the website you are visiting (“first-party cookies”) or by other companies (“third-party cookies”). For example, we partner with third-party analytics providers, like Google, which set cookies when you visit our website. This helps us understand how you are using our services so we can improve them where necessary, with the help of:

  • Pixels - small images on a web page or in an email. They collect information about your browser or device and can set cookies.

  • Local storage - allowing data to be stored locally on your browser or device and includes HTML5 local storage and browser cache.

Turning off and deleting Cookies

When you access our website we will have placed some Cookies on your computer in order to be able to display the page to you. If you continue to use our site, additional Cookies will be placed for the site functionality to work.

If you don’t want Cookies placed on your computer, you can change your browser settings to either reject all Cookies; to only allow “trusted sites” or only accept Cookies from the site(s) you are currently on. However, some parts of our website will not operate correctly if you disable Cookies.

You can disable Cookies on your computer by changing the preferences or options menus in your browser. Instructions for disallowing Cookies can usually be found in the browser's 'Help' menu.

For more detailed information about Cookies visit www.allaboutcookies.org which provides guidance on how to control Cookies. You will also find links to the Cookie policies of technology partners where, if possible, you can control Cookies they place more easily.

Third-party marketing partner Cookies

We work with several carefully-selected and monitored partners who serve advertisements on our behalf. All data collected by these third parties is anonymous and will never contain your name, address, telephone number, email address or payment details.

You can delete your Cookies at any time from any of the third-party marketing sites and technology partners mentioned below. HEROWN will never disclose your personal details to third parties without your specific permission.

More information on our third party, network and supplier relationships can be found below.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Google Analytics Cookies enable HEROWN to collect data based on user activity on our site. This includes information such as the number of visits to the site, the quantity of orders made and number of pages visited. This data helps us maintain a good service, informing improvements when needed. Please see: Google Analytics Privacy Policy.

GOOGLE ADWORDS CONVERSION
These Cookies enable HEROWN to track the performance of our advertising on Google’s search engine, specifically which ads lead to visits and sales on our website. Google Privacy Policy.

FACEBOOK CUSTOM AUDIENCE
This cookie allows us to focus the advertising we do on Facebook more effectively by matching data we hold with that held by Facebook. Facebook then produces a list of non-identifiable users that an advertiser can use, protecting the privacy and security of the information provided. For privacy reasons, the list of individually matched users is not accessible to any advertiser, including HEROWN. No data is added to an individual Facebook user account as a result of being added to a custom audience. More information on this can be found here: Facebook Privacy.

FACEBOOK CONNECT
Facebook Connect is when you are prompted to log in to a site using your Facebook login details. This function makes it easier for you to take your online identity with you all over the Web. You won't have to create separate accounts for every website, just use your Facebook login wherever Connect is available. When you log into a website with your Facebook account, the site can access information you've added on Facebook. The site does this to offer you a social and more personal experience.

The Facebook Platform Policies restrict how these sites can use your information. For example: if you've blocked someone on Facebook, they won't be able to see you on a site you've logged into.

When people log into a site, they won’t be able to see information you've added through Facebook that they wouldn’t be able to see by browsing on Facebook.
